We stayed here for three weeks due to a family emergency. The entire team provided excellent service. We had three rooms, which were adequate for our family, though not ideal for such a long stay. The staff frequently checked on us to see if we needed anything, and any requests were addressed immediately. The hotel's location is convenient, with shops, restaurants, a casino, bingo hall, and cinema nearby, and a supermarket within easy walking distance. This made it easy to obtain necessities during our stay. Car Parking is free. The only drawback was the lack of an on-site restaurant. Breakfast consisted of a box with cornflakes, a flapjack, a pain au chocolat, UHT milk, and bottled water. Perhaps a reasonably priced breakfast vending machine offering a wider variety of cereals, breakfast snacks, and chilled semi-skimmed milk for the cereal and for tea or coffee. Overall, the hotel was very clean, and the staff were wonderful.

Pleasantly surprised to find large airy rooms, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making sure we were looked after. Lots of places to eat and a retail park on the doorstep. The only problem was the shower. Ridiculously short hose and I'm only 5ft 2ins. Not fit for purpose. Fix that and you get five stars. Definitely returning for our next trip to visit my son in Broadstairs.

What a great little location! Lots of shops and eateries around. You’re a stones throw from the Toby Carvery and the Cinema, I’ve spotted a casino and Mecca bingo, not too far away I’ve seen McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Tim Hortons, Frankie and Bennys and plenty more. The area has a very chilled vibe for shopping. On arrival to the hotel we were greeted at reception by a lovely smile and a VERY helpful receptionist. We booked in and were told we were on the first floor, I am a wheelchair user but as it was such a small way from car to the hotel I used my crutches. Hubby asked if the lift was in the direction the lady had pointed us and she explained they don’t have one here, we explained I cannot manage stairs and this was no problem whatsoever for the lady to rectify. We were placed in a family room (we had only booked for a double) on the ground floor. I take blame for not checking stairs/lifts etc whilst booking, but was over the moon at how the issue was dealt with and wasn’t made to feel like I was an inconvenience. Once in the room we noticed the two usb sockets on either side of the bed were broken, we asked if they had an extension lead at reception and were blown away when the lady pulled two out Sometimes it’s not about the fault but how the situation is dealt with and reception had sorted both our issues instantly and happily I would say that if anything was to change, we should revert back to normal plug sockets as they are far less likely to break than these USB types. We love a Travelodge, good prices for what you get, a clean room, comfy bed and helpful staff

We regularly choose to stay at Travelodge Margate Westwood Cross when visiting family in the Margate/Ramsgate area. It’s ideally located, especially if you want to be close to shops, restaurants, and the main routes in and out of Thanet. The location is one of its best features — everything you need is right on the doorstep. As with most Travelodges, you get what you pay for. It’s basic but clean, and that consistency is something we appreciate. The rooms are always tidy, the beds are decent, and there’s tea and coffee provided, which is a nice touch after a long journey. However, we stayed during the hottest two days in the UK so far this year, and the lack of air conditioning made the rooms almost unbearable. Even with the provided fan, the heat was overwhelming and made it difficult to sleep or relax. This is definitely something to be aware of if you’re planning a summer visit. Another small point — the layout can be a little confusing. We’ve stayed here a few times now, and we still sometimes get lost trying to find our room. Better signage or clearer stairwell markings would really help. All in all, it’s a reliable and conveniently located base for visiting family or exploring the area. Just maybe not the best pick during a heatwave!

Choose this place because I wanted a stop over whilst visiting nearby vikings bay.. On arrival i found the Receptionist not rude.. but far from welcoming..(after same one word answer inter actions having to ask how I get to my room.. once in room.. found it clean, tidy. Perfect for my needs.. i didn't know at the time off booking that this travelodge is literally adjacent to Westwood cross.. which has a good ranch off shops and restaurants within walking distance off the travelodge

We stayed for 3 days (14.08-16.08.2025) for a family wedding. The room was spacious, lots of storage and clean, was very quiet. Service was good at reception desk and housekeeping. Location was excellent for everything we need to do for our stay. We definitely look to book again in the future.

Handy place to stay short term and quiet during the night. Rooms are more than good enough but, like most travel lodges, the shower isn't strong enough and hot water is inconsistent.
